I made this wreath this weekend as a birthday present for my mom. It was tough to find a heart-shaped wreath frame on Valentine's Day weekend. I found this one as part of a Valentine's Day display. This particular heart was styrofoam with sharp corners. I wanted my wreath to be rounded so I sanded the sides down... talk about messy, but definitely worth it.
I got the idea for this wreath from Danielle Burkleo and her blog, Take Heart. She has a wonderful DIY tutorial. I loved the color of her wreath so much that I was thrilled when I managed to find the exact same Vanna's Choice mustard yellow yarn.
The flowers are my favorite part. They look difficult but are incredibly easy... just a circle of felt cut into a spiral and glued together at the bottom.
Be sure and check out Danielle's tutorial!
