'Tis the Season

Autumn is technically only a week away. Unfortunately, it doesn't feel like it at all. So for now, I'm just going to pretend.

If there's one thing I can't get enough of in the fall, it's the liquid amber trees that line my street. The colors are incredible... and I love when the street is completely covered in yellow, orange, and red. Although... I'd give all of that up for a chance to live in this incredible little cabin.

Doesn't this season just scream COMFORT FOOD? I'll definitely be making this lasagna more often.

I love coffee year round but there's something about a hot cup on a cold autumn morning that really hits the spot.

Do I really need to say more about this? Summer is nice and all, but when it comes down to it... I really love a big sweater and a comfy pair of socks.

I wish it rained more around here. It would give me a perfect excuse to stay in and bake more. I wouldn't mind making a few of these cheesecakes this season. Seriously, it's the best cheesecake I've ever eaten... and I'm not just saying that because of all the work that goes into it, although, it's true... food does taste better when you make it yourself.

I don't know what it is about this album, but whenever I think autumn, I think Van Morrison - Tupelo Honey.

Happy Friday, friends!

P.S. It's time to announce the Yellow Elm giveaway winner!
Congratulations, Melissa!
Elizabeth or I will be contacting you shortly!
