Last weekend I wanted to make some Halloween decorations but I was way too lazy to actually go to the store for supplies. Solution: a paper punch garland. All you need is some construction paper, a circle and/or scalloped circle punch, and a sewing machine.
Step 1: Punch circles out of colored construction paper. I used a few different oranges/yellows, black, and grey.
Step 2: Feed the circles through the sewing machine, one right after another. I just randomly chose colors as I went.
Step 3: Hang and enjoy!
It's so lovely. I've been wanting to get one of those punches to make wedding decor, and something like this would be great.
ReplyDelete-Sara-
Beautiful! I was eyeing that scalloped hole punch yesterday at the craft store but I just couldn't bring myself to spend $27 on it! I think I will put it on my Hanukkah wish list instead! Love this craft!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sara!
ReplyDeleteElisha! I bought mine on Ebay for somewhere around $7! Amazon has them too!

I loooove it! :) Elisha, use a 40-50% off coupon from michaels or joann!
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies!

Thank you again :)
Awesome round-up! Thanks, Jamie!
DeleteI've done these before--be sure to use a fairly long stitch on your sewing machine. If it's too short, the machine will perforate the paper, and then it will tear.
DeleteSo cute! I just bought a large circle punch that would be perfect for this. Pinning to try this weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pam! I think I'll make some more this year. They're so easy! :)
