Bright Idea: Cookie Cutter Crafts

Have some old cookie cutters that you don't use anymore? Maybe you've seen some at a garage sale or in a discount bin? Here are a few great (non-cookie cutting) ways to put them to use for the holidays!

Use cookie cutters to form candles. Make them out of honeycomb wax sheets or use them to top a cake!

Give fudge to friends and neighbors using cookie cutters as molds!

Tie old cookie cutters together with twine to make a garland.

Last but not least, you can use cookie cutters to make a wreath! Stick to one shape (like stars) to create a simple wreath, use a multitude of shapes and spray paint the wreath to be one uniform color, or leave the cookie cutters as is and add a fancy bow... like the green and red bow or the picnic pattern bow pictured above.

  1. Thanks for all these brilliant ideas.. We are on a tight budget, but at least these can still pretty up our home! I especially love the garland. And the candles. Guess it's time to head to our favorite cake supply to pick some new cookie cutters up!
