Easy Everyday Pesto

If you're looking to make a simple batch of pesto to have on hand for sandwiches or snacks, this is the perfect recipe for you!

  • 1 1/2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • pinch of ground nutmeg
  • salt and pepper to taste

Bake the pine nuts at 450 degrees for about 10 minutes or until browned. Blend everything together until well combined but still a little chunky.

I added this pesto to a salami and mozzarella sandwich and it was delicious. It's also great as a snack with a baguette.
