Sponsor Spotlight: Yellow Elm

It's time for our first December sponsor spotlight! Today we'll be taking a peek into the life of the lovely Elizabeth of Yellow Elm!

I'm Elizabeth Blanton, owner and designer of Yellow Elm, my line of handcrafted hair accessories. I have a bachelor's degree in graphic design, and Yellow Elm allows me to combine my interest in design, fashion, fine art, and photography. Besides Yellow Elm, I do freelance graphic design and work at a law firm.

I live in the southern town of Greenville, South Carolina, and have a little art studio in our growing arts district. I have been married for two years, and my husband Ben and I love traveling, hiking in the nearby Blue Ridge Mountains, and learning more about the world.

Yellow Elm accessories are all hand-felted using a wet felting process. I criss-cross fibers of raw wool, pour soap and boiling water on top, and scrub until the fibers interlock to make felt. This process makes every piece a unique work of art—no two Yellow Elm accessories are exactly alike.
