May Favorites

May is almost over and to tell you the truth, I'm pretty excited. Summer is my favorite season. Before jumping into June though, I thought I'd take a little look back at some of my favorite posts from May...

Mother's Day was a lot of fun this year. I did a little baking for my mom, including these cupcakes. Cake recipe found here, buttercream frosting recipe via Martha Stewart.

The day before Mother's Day, my mom and I went to Unique LA. I met a lot of great people. Check out all of the photos here.

I made hush puppies for the first time... and it definitely won't be the last.

Martha Stewart inspired me to make plant markers for my mini herb garden using twigs.

These drink umbrellas are the perfect simple DIY for warm weather like this.

Speaking of drinks, I tried a new smoothie recipe this month... using nothing but blueberries and green tea.

This month was a new beginning for Snag That Style posts! I can't believe I haven't done one since Christmas.

My mini Vegas vacation included a trip to the Neon Museum! Check out all the photos here.

I had two great thrifting weekends this month. I found some Pyrex and an awesome needlepoint at the beginning of the month.

My favorite find from my second thrifty weekend is definitely that PBR trashcan!

Well that pretty much wraps up the month. I can't wait to see what June has in store!

I also really love how the cupcakes you made for your mum turned out. They look really good!
