A Little Painting

I've never been much of a painter but sometimes it's nice to pull out my old art supplies and play around with them. I found this wood slice at a thrift store a few weeks ago and last night I decided to paint a little fawn on it. I can't wait to hang it up!

    1. Thanks, Katie! I thought it could use that little pop of color.

  2. That is really great. I'm planning to decorate/prepare for our third baby girl in a woodland theme, this would be awesome to put up... I'll have to find some wood discs to paint on. Did you apply any finish over the paint? I have done small paintings on discs, for pins/brooches, and used Mod Podge Dimensional Magic. It can be tricky if the surface isn't total level and flat.

    1. I didn't apply a finish but if I did, I would use a clear spray. It would probably be easier than Mod Podge. A woodland theme for a girl's room is such a cute idea!

  6. We have a tree that is on the verge up uprooting our lawn. I wanted to do something similar with it when we do chop it down. This is such a lovely painting!
