I went to about 4 estate sales this weekend and found a lot of cool stuff! I got my hands on two spoon holders, a vintage chopper, two framed mirrors, and a weird little red haired doll. My favorite finds are definitely the framed needlepoint (similar to the one I found here) and the Pyrex dishes and cups.
The best part is... I spent about $10 total. That's my kind of weekend shopping spree.
Love it. I love thrifting...finding a ton of unique items for super cheap!
ReplyDeleteMe too! I try to go every weekend!
DeleteWow 10.00 thats awesome. I love getting a good bargain.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Liliana! Me too!
DeleteThat dolls a little too creepy for me, but $10?? Wow! Lucky lady!

I've heard the same thing from a few of my friends! I just love Kewpie dolls (or anything similar). Apparently my collection is a little creepy but I love them all! Haha!
DeleteI'm not sure, but your red haired friend might be some sort of Kewpie doll. The face and body look very similar!
ReplyDeleteThe bottom of her food is marked "Uneeda Doll Co"... I'll have to do some research!
DeleteGAH!!!! I love the weird ginger haired doll. Please post a close up of it's awesome face. :)
ReplyDeleteHere's a close-up, Cazz! http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/1827/img1548ij.jpg

ReplyDeleteOh, brother!
DeleteYou may not want to give your thrifting secret away, but where are these estate sales?! I could only dream of finding as many treasures as you find all the time! And I didn't realize you were in CA! -Jessica

Hey Jessica! You're in SD right? You should check out Craigslist or Estatesales.net! I use those the most. Also, do you get a Pennysaver in your mail? There are usually a few local ads in there too!
DeleteAtta girl! That's my kind of shopping! I love those sppoonrests. Are you keeping? Or selling?
ReplyDeleteProbably keeping. We don't have one and they really come in handy.
