Kitchen Tour

You might recall a kitchen tour I posted back in January. Well, I got a new apartment with a bigger kitchen so I just had to share it. I now have room to fit my table (see how I gave it a makeover here) as well as a little library cart I found on craigslist. It's definitely my favorite room in this tiny apartment (not that there are many to choose from).

Ready for Fall

I don't know about you guys but I couldn't be more ready for fall. Despite the warm weather around here, I'm determined to start working on some fall recipes and DIYs. I've put together a little round-up of some of my personal favorites!

The World of Lisa Frank

Ladies! Have you seen this yet? I don't know about you but I used to be a huge Lisa Frank fan. Alright... who am I kidding? I'm still a huge Lisa Frank fan. Every time I spot one of those brightly colored folders in the school supply section, I'm drawn to it. Every time I pass the Lisa Frank section at the end of an aisle at Dollar Tree, I stop because you know, there might be something I can't live without. If you're anything like me, you'll definitely appreciate this video. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you might be a little creeped out. Just a warning.

Now... how can I get my hands on a Lisa Frank original?!

Pinterest Crafting: Floral Monogram

I found this Blooming Monogram tutorial via Pinterest a while back and have been meaning to try it ever since. Today, in an attempt to get out of the heat, I spent some time browsing around Dollar Tree and managed to find everything I need! Instead of buying a giant paper mache letter from Jo-Anns for about $5, I bought a piece of styrofoam poster board for $1 and made my own. It took me a while but the advantage of making my own is that I was able to make it much bigger than the Jo-Anns version. I also bought two packages of floral foam and some fake flowers. The whole project cost $8!
