Red Pepper Relish

I'm hooked on the red pepper relish from Jersey Mike's so I decided to make some of my own. It's perfect for sandwiches, burgers or just add it to some cheese and crackers.


  • 2 red bell peppers
  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
  • a pinch of salt and pepper

Finely chop your bell peppers and onion. I used my trusty food processor.

Add everything to a saucepan and cook on high for about 5 minutes.

Continue cooking (stirring occasionally) on low until most of the liquid is gone.

Allow to cool for about an hour before serving.

    1. I used bell peppers and it tasted just like Jersey Mikes. Red cherry peppers sounds good too.

  3. ive been searching for a recipe like this. I own an italian restaurant in Thailand and want to have it available to be put on the subs/sandwiches we make. I will try it and hopefully comes out well. thank you
