I tend to skip breakfast during the week because I sleep in for as long as possible and by the time I drag myself out of bed, there just isn't time. So, I found this simple recipe for cereal bars and decided to give it a try. These are perfect for kids too. One batch makes 9 bars.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup honey
- 3 cups of Cheerios
Combine the peanut butter and honey in a large saucepan and heat for about 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Add the Cheerios.
Line a 9x9 baking dish with parchment paper and dump the mixture in. Flatten the top with a spoon.
Allow to set for about 1 hour then cut them into squares.
